Our Team

Jeff Kirkpatrick
Managing Director - Investments

For nearly 20 years I have worked with a select group of individuals, families, businesses and institutions to help them build, manage, preserve and transition their wealth. Comprehensive wealth is much more than just investments.  I address risk management with insurance and other asset preservation strategies, in addition to liability management.  I also help my clients leave their legacies through the trust, estate and fiduciary services provided by our Wells Fargo affiliates.  Most of all, I bring to each relationship energy, passion, commitment and dedication to help you succeed financially.

I began my career as a Financial Advisor with Chapman Securities in Wichita, Kansas, where I developed my fundamental investment knowledge. In 1998, I joined Everen Securities in Topeka, Kansas, a predecessor firm of Wells Fargo Advisors, and in 2001 took a team approach as an associate in the Kirkpatrick Investment Group of Wells Fargo Advisors.

I grew up in Topeka and attended Topeka West HighSchool. I later earned my Bachelor’s degree in International Business from Wichita State University. While at Wichita State, I married Janette. We currently reside in Lawrence, Kansas, with our two children.  Away from the office, I spend my free time with Janette, our daughter, Kennedy, and son, Parker. We travel the country in fall and winter watching Kennedy play basketball for Bowling Green State University. In the spring and summer, we travel the nation with Parker and watch him play baseball. While traveling, we take in some of the local culture, going to the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, the Oklahoma City Memorial, or just enjoying the barbeque in Memphis after touring Graceland. Most of all, we cherish time relaxing at home, taking in a movie and being with family and friends.

Dee Kirkpatrick
First Vice President - Investments

For nearly 30 years I have worked closely with a select group of individuals, families, businesses and institutions to help them build, manage, preserve and transition their wealth.  This includes all aspects of investing, in addition to liability management. With the information our clients share with me, I study and analyze the information, model and develop various ways to help them achieve their financial objectives, and help my clients leave their legacies through Wells Fargo’s trust, estate and fiduciary services.

I began my career with B.C. Christopher in Topeka, KS, in 1981. In 1983, I joined Blunt Ellis and Loewi, a predecessor firm of Wells

Fargo Advisors. My son Jeff and I took a team approach and established the Kirkpatrick Investment Group of Wells Fargo Advisors. Together we bring to each client relationship our collective education, advanced training and commitment to ongoing professional development.

I am a life time resident of Topeka, KS, and recently moved to Lawrence to be closer to my two children. I am very involved with my four grandchildren and make it a point to attend their events. I enjoy traveling with family and the adventures that come with being around friends. I also enjoy reading, biking, going to the beach. My latest adventure will be learning how to play the game of golf.

Away from the office, I am in engaged in activities at St. Johns church and is involved in the community. I contribute to the Topeka Civic Theatre as well as volunteer at the Lawrence Theatre and provide theatre tickets for children through the Rotary Club. I take a special interest in the Topeka Rescue Mission, ERC in Topeka, the Lawrence Salvation Army and the Penn House in Lawrence. I support the Lawrence Animal Shelter, Washburn University and other special charitable activities.
